Update: Singer/dancer/actress Rita Moreno played the bit role of Zelda Zanders in Singin in the Rain', then starred as fiery Puerto Rican Anita in West Side Story. Moreno, who was born in Puerto Rico in 1931, won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in Story.
